Fishing hasn't been too bad the past two days.   The ocean was beautiful; it just didn't produce alot of keeper Fluke.   Guys out sea bassing have done okay also.

There are croakers and blues in the inlet.   Some fishermen have said this is the place to be for your best catches over the past several days.

George and Ray were out by the cans yesterday and had a great catch of croakers and 3 nice sized blues.  One weighed in over 15 pounds.

Steve of Fishizzle had a nice day out on Tues and came back with a real nice sea bass, along with an assortment of fish caught in the inlet.

Bay fishing has been loaded with a plethora of bottom fish as mentioned in earlier reports.   If anyone is planning on getting out in the next few days; this is where you will be spending your time.

NOAA has already issued tropical storm warnings for our coastline.   If you have a boat in the water at the marina, this is your last chance to get down before the storm hits (after midnight tonight) to be sure your boat lines etc. are secure.   We are expecting 40-50 mph winds as of today, with rain & minor tidal flooding  coming Friday.

Friday and Saturday brought us beautiful weather and fishable seas.  Some nice flounder were brought in from the LE Reef area and in 55 ft. of water in front of the towers.   Several fishermen had their limit catch this weekend, while others tried to find the fish.

Monster bluefish up to 15 pounds are on the reefs and biting keeper fluke right in half.

Bay fishing is still bring up some Fluke, but on the short side.   Bottom fishing has been plentiful with all the different types of fish being caught including, kingfish, porgies, blowfish, sheepshead, small cobia etc.

Crabbing has slowed a bit.

Congrats go out to our three top winners of Capt Mike's Fluke Tourney which we hold for our slip customers each year.  First place went to Brian McCloskey, second place went to Jeff Jaekel and Jeff picked up third place from the boat Fishizzle.

Saturday was probably the last good fishing report we have had.    Sunday brought the nor'easter in and very few if any anglers got out on the water with small craft advisory
ies and severe storms rolling through.

Reports of Fluke in the Rutgers Buoy, Little Egg Reef areas have produce a few keepers, but nothing in any hot numbers.   With tomorrow looking to bring us calmer seas and bright sunny skies ahead, we should see angler activity and have some ocean reports.

Fluke in the bay are still in the 126 area, being the Fish Factory and over on the Tuckerton side.   Hard to find a big one with all the smaller fish around.

Kingfish has turned on in the clam stakes and in the area of the orange ball.   Chumming is essential to lure these fish in.   Also a smattering of porgies, blowfish, , sheepshead and sea robbins mixed in.

We now have our 18 foot pontoon boat back in the water for rental as of today.   Please see our rental tab with all boat & kayak rental information.
