Anglers were out on the reefs and wrecks picking away at Fluke and Sea Bass. Also small blues are scattered all about the inlet and bay.
Weakies are being picked up in the Sheepshead area. Fluke are still being caught over by 126 and Coast Guard station.
There are lots of kingfish for those who want to get out and do some bottom fishing, along with Spots and even some small Porgies, etc. Not much on the blowfish on our side of the bay, although there are some. More are located over in the Tuckerton Bay for some reason.
Crabbing has slowed down a bit but people putting in their time are doing okay.
Tomorrow's winds are going to be strong and there is a small craft advisory already posted for the afternoon. If you plan on going out, you should do it first thing in the morning, but be aware that we have been having some low tides so plan accordingly. If you plan on renting a boat, please call ahead. If the winds come on strong earlier and there is an advisory posted, we cannot let any of our boats out on the water due to safety issues.

Today brought rough surf so not many anglers got out to the ocean. Those who did get out to the reefs had an okay day as far as Fluking goes. Others had some Sea Bass and there were snapper blues around all various locations.
Those who chose to stay inside are still catching Fluke. There was a beautiful 9 pounder caught the other day in front of the Fish Factory. Some of our rental boats also caught some keepers in the 126 area.
Kingfish remains strong with one customer loading up on Sunday. He said he could have had all he wanted but his arms got tired :-)
Seems that the blowfish are more concentrated in the Tuckerton Bay rather than our side. Not sure why but we should have them over our way too.
Saw the first signs of guys fishing off the 5th bridge for Weakies last night with their generators.
Crabbing has been good for those off the bridges and Great Bay Blvd. in your favorite spots. Some other who choose to go by boat are doing better with the hand lines rather than the traps.

The lack of updates is because of the lack of fishermen. The winds have been blowing the past two days and we've seen few if any fishermen. The heat hasn't helped either. Looks like later Friday afternoon the winds should settle down so hoping to have some news. The few boats that have gone out over the past two days didn't have much for the dinner table. Both rental boats we had out each came back with 1 keeper (both by 126 and Fish Factory), while one of our ramp customers had a nice 4.2 pounder caught over by 126. Crabbing seems to be a little slow but hoping with the fresh water clearing out from the storms, that things will pick back up. Kingfish are filling out the bay, along with some smaller porgies and spot. Peanut bunker are starting to come in a little more, along with some small blues here and there. No news from the ocean or inlet with the weather keeping anglers inside.
