This is the same crap that happens today. People move to an area where, for instance. there is a gun club/range that's been operating nearby for years and years and they complain about the noise in order to get it shut down. The smell that was reported here was a livlyhood for hundreds of families. Sad.

Big thanks to Mike Rasmus, Justin Wanckel, Dennis Crossen, Lisa Neubert Mcginnis, Ken Counts, Rich Furniss, Joyce Ott, Edward Foulks, Wilbur Kuntzi, Gina DeFeo, Steven J Heisler, Jim Davis, Janet Earnest, Jacqueline Smith, Eric Larmour, MJ Nails, James Allen, Ric Medrow, Donald Neely, Patrick Mccorriston Jr., Mike Gallagher, Kathleen Green, John Morgan, Victor Nilsen, Joe Doherty, Anthony Cerullo, Tim DAmico

for all your support! Congrats for being top fans on a streak 👏 Can’t wait for 2026 fishing season 🎣!

Many great days fishing near it many years ago with my late uncle.

I bet those Brant like the easy access to the sea weed lol

I better trade this in for a Airboat

Get out there and start digging those channels out

That happens here sometimes…I can actually smell that photo😆

Beer mug Ricky would get a running start wide open put her right in there

Wow and they said that the water table was rising

New moon blow out tide.

Does that happen only in winter? I’ve never seen it like that.

Not flooded

We are glad our boat has been out for the winter

Fluke season kicked off today 5/2 and will run through 9/27.

The 2022 fluke season opened with a bang at Captain Mikes this Monday. Gino, Justin, Jalen, Derek and Alainna racked up 11 fish in total (shown above).

Other rental and slip customers reported limiting out on flounder, mainly fishing in the back bay. One angler was targeting fluke and ended up catching a 30lb bass in 3 foot of water!

It’s safe to say the season opener for fluke was not only productive but eventful too.

In case you missed it, for the first time in New Jersey fluke fishing history a slot limit was added. Here’s what else changed since last season:

  • Two fish slot between 17-17.99 inches
  • One fish 18 inches or greater
  • Season opens Monday May 2nd
  • Season closes Tuesday September 27th

Many anglers were up in arms over the recent changes in regulations. While it’s impossible to appeal to every angler, the change in regulations seem to favor the back bay angler opposed to ocean based anglers.

Apparently these changes won’t be a problem for those fishing the Great Bay. The weather forecast is providing plenty of windows in the next ten days.

Give us a call at (609) 296-4406 to book your rental boat and let’s go fishing!
